Prior to becoming the Outreach Coordinator for the Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies, Duane was high school English teacher in Indiana, where he taught world literature and creative writing. He enjoys learning about world mythology and literature, especially poetry and has three awesome sons.
I love teaching about the Korean poetry form sijo, talking about peace efforts following the atomic bombing of Japan, and telling the story of the Monkey King, Sun Wukong. I’m happy to talk about other topics about East Asia and the Pacific as well, so don’t hesitate to ask.
