International Scholars in the Classroom

The International Scholars in the Classroom initiative is intended to connect K-12 teachers with University of Illinois students, staff, and faculty members that are interested in serving as guest speakers in K-12 classrooms.  The International Outreach Council (IOC) will help interested members of our campus community develop guest speaker lectures and activities that support K-12 instruction of global and area studies.  Please look at the list below of available speakers.  If you see a speaker that you are interested in joining your class (in person or via Skype), complete this online form and the IOC will coordinate this with you and your selected University of Illinois Scholar.

If you are a member of the University of Illinois campus community and you want to participate in this program, please complete this online application.
